What this course is about
Seerah is the study of the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It is essential for anyone who wants to understand Islam and its history more deeply.
The course opens with Arabia before Islam and its social and political conditions, then follows the Prophet's life from his birth and childhood to his marriage, prophethood and the stages of revelation.
From there it covers his teachings and character, the migration to Medina, and the struggles of the early Muslim community, including Badr, Uhud and the Trench, through to the conquest of Mecca. Students come away with a clear picture of how that community was built and what it means for Muslims today.
